Abbey Capital Trek For Trees 2021
Donation protected
The team based in Abbey Capital, Dublin have set a challenge to trek along the spectacular Dublin coast, between Howth and Bray, to raise vital funds for Self Help Africa’s One Million Trees campaign.
This will take place on Saturday, 24th July. Keep an eye out for us, or better still, why not join us along the route!
We’ll be joined virtually by our colleagues located throughout Ireland, Europe and the USA, collectively trekking 1000 km in a single day! All donations are gratefully received!
OUR WHY: Self Help Africa supports communities in sub-Saharan Africa to plant trees which provide vital shade, shelter, food, fertilizer, and income. As conditions around the globe become hotter, rainfall unpredictable and extreme weather events more common, the people least responsible for climate change are feeling its worst effects and trees are now more vital than ever.
Every tree planted through Self Help Africa provides protection and livelihood for a family. Farming families are supported and trained to be independent and properly manage their trees, and the impacts are monitored on an ongoing basis.

Your support means the world to us, to Self Help Africa and to the communities who benefit from the planting of our trees. Thank you!
