Abandoned kitten Rescue

Donation protected

So much has changed since this Go Fund Me  started.  We are now registered with the state of Ohio as a Charitable Organization  rescueing kittens and cats. Our rescue name is For The Love of Kittens.  We officially rescue abandoned kittens and pregnant cats, but we have found ourselves in a situation where four adult cats needed homes and we said we would help with that.  We have 6 fosters with skills ranging from bottle feeding infant kittens, caring for sick kittens and cats,  caring for adult pregnant cats and their litters and the kittens  that are in need of socializatioin.  We love what we do and will hopefully be able to save many more lives. We count on the generosity of others for their donations of money, gift cards for food and litter or even putting money in our accounts at our vets office to help with medical expenses.

My name is Sharon and I am an animal lover, rescuer and am determined to save as many abandoned kittens and pregnant cats as I can.  I have been in rescue for seven years and have been bottle feeding abandoned kittens for over ten years.  I was previously with a no kill shelter where I ran their foster program for abandoned kittens.  Our success rate was outstanding, not because of me but because of a team of dedicated volunteers.  There was change recently at the shelter that resulted in  many of the long time vounteers leaving, We still have that deep desire to save and place as many of these wonderful cats and kittens as possible, but the cost of doing this on our own is more than we can afford.  We are planning on eventually starting a non profit specifically for the cats and kittens, but in the mean time we are continuing to take calls and take them in.

Today we took a mother and her 7 kittens. They had been living under a porch and this wonderful mother cat was practically starving but still nursing her family and giving them every bit of milk that she could produce.  They are in a loving foster home tonight with plenty of food and water and all the hugs and loving touches that they deserve.  We are taking kittens with such severe eye infections that they can't see.  Upper Respiratories so bad that breathing is very hard.  Two kittens that were knocked out a tree by the family dog and luckily were not injured fatally have been raised by one of our fosters.

We are taking the kittens that are turned away and have no place to go.  This is why I am asking for your help.  Until we can secure grants, or donors we are having to pay the bills and it is more than we can afford.  To get a kitten ready for adoption which includes, vet checks, combo testing, vaccinations and spay/neutering, formula if needed, food and litter the cost can be $140.00.

This is why I need your help to cover the costs of taking care of these kittens and Moms.  They deserve to have a chance and myself and other fosters are willing to do this.  It is so rewarding to watch a sick, weak little kitten begin to show signs of strength and wanting to live.  To hold the frail little bodies and watch each day as they change into that playful little kitten that gets so excited when you come into the room.

I would appreciate any help you can give us and let me thank you in advance for your generosity. And, yes the kittens and cats thank you too!
