SYNOPSIS: We're raising funds for Aaron Dicer's continued health situation, testing, procedures, and hospital/home care throughout his long term recovery. Funds will also be used to help Jennifer Dicer and their 4 kids through this process, with Jennifer missing work to be with Aaron, and all that is involved in caring for him at home after he leaves the hospital.
BACK STORY: Aaron went into cardiac arrest (his heart stopped beating) on Wednesday and was immediately taken to the ER when the doctors decided to induce him into a coma, and lowered his body temperature to 91 degrees. They slowly warmed his body back up on Friday, and thankfully he has been responsive to treatment - coming out of the coma and his heart is beating again!
His tubes and wires were taken off/out of him on Saturday, and he continues to improve at the hospital with the great team of doctors surrounding him in Springfield, MO. His treatment includes a battery of tests this coming week, and a possible procedure involving his heart on Thurs/Fri, end of this week.
We are all grateful that Aaron has passed the hard part of coming out of the coma, and is slowly gaining strength. But things are far from over for him in this battle.
This health situation will most likely take months to recover from. That will take a toll on the Dicer family's finances - home and health-wise. They have good insurance, but the balance of what they will need to pay for the hospital stay and treatment, and then home care with medications, and expected therapy, could be great.
We (Rick & Donna Welke) would love for his friends, family, radio and music industry colleagues to join us in showering him and Jennifer with as much FINANCIAL HELP as we can give them through this difficult period.
