"Aaron David Rand, 51, of Auburn passed away unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in an accident on March 5, 2021 at Central Maine Medical Center. "

Consistently on the ice 10 minutes before any of his players, Coach Rand's love for coaching and athletics was unparalleled. Having already completed a full day of work, he would still show up to practice as though it was his main focus for the day. Coach Rand provided an outlet for countless athletes and friends to come together and enjoy each other's company. His energy and passion radiated through the locker room, best exemplified by the chorus of laughs his jokes brought out of us all.

Coach Rand made a tangible difference in his community, frequently choosing to lead and support others out of nothing more than the kindness of his heart. When we look back on our college days, some of our fondest memories will be with Coach Rand right by our side. It is truly an honor and a privilege to know that we were able to cross paths with Aaron D. Rand. May we all aspire to lead lives a little more like his. 

All proceeds from this campaign will be donated directly to the "Aaron Rand Memorial Scholarship Fund" for athletes pursuing higher education attending Edward Little High School.
