Living Donor Liver Transplant for Aaron Haynes
Aaron Haynes has been struggling with Auto Immune Hepatitis of the Liver from the time he was 18 months old. He has battled through the ups and downs of this illness for most of his twenty-nine years of life.
We received the best news. Aaron will finally be getting a life saving Liver Transplant. Kerry Patch, his cousin, has been given the full approval to become Aaron’s Living Donor.
The surgery is scheduled for September 8, 2021.
Along with being a Donor and a Recipient many issues arise:
Kerry will be unable to work for 3-6 months. There will be a recuperating period for healing and liver regrowth. We would like to be able to help out with household bills, groceries, medical expenses, hotel stays (they will be traveling over an hour each way to Cleveland Clinic) and any other expenses that come up.
Aaron will have a very long period of hospital stays, medical bills, travel to and from Cleveland Clinic and day to day expenses as he recovers from this Life Saving Surgery. His recovery could take a year or more.
Aaron, Kerry and their families are facing the biggest challenges in their lives. The last thing they need to worry about is how to pay for necessities. As Aaron’s sister, I would like to lesson the financial burden and help out with any medical expenses. We will be using the money for medical bills, travel and living expenses during this Living Donor Living.
Kerry has chosen to give this Gift of Life as Aaron’s Donor. Lets’ help support them during these months ahead and lessen the financial burden for the both Families.
