Just trying to survive

Hi. My name is Emily and I'm trying to make some money so we can get caught up and be able to survive. Ever since August of last year, it seems like everything is in a downward spiral. First, my stepmom was diagnosed with terminal cancer and I had to make the trip from Georgia to Pennsylvania so I could say goodbye and be there for my dad and stepsister. Then, 6 short weeks later, my husband's grandma passed. We had to gather family and pay for funeral travels.

Next, my husband was laid off from his job and finding another one has proven very difficult. Everyone claims to be hiring, but it seems like that's not true.

Anyway, we are a month behind on rent, almost 2 months behind on our car payment, and about 3 months behind on our electric bill. We are barely scraping by with food and necessities.

I'm a person who believes in paying it forward, so if we get help I will most certainly help others once we are in a better spot. We can't lose our home and we can't lose our only family vehicle.
