A Room for Garrett

Garrett is an 11 yr old boy with Down Syndrome, that was recently orphaned with the passing of his dad.  Through nothing short of a miracle, Garrett already has a loving family that has taken primary custody of him and will be at his side for the funeral and help him with his grieving process over loosing both parents within 3 years.  

Garrett was not placed through the state and the Greers will not receive state funding as a foster child.  They will be eligible to receive benefits for him at a federal level, but it will take months to get that into place.  Garrett has a few immediate needs that can not wait until all the paperwork is completed and approved.  That's where you come in....

Garrett needs a room downstairs near Jennifer and Ben so that they can help him with his daily needs.  He is delayed and requires assistance with toileting, bathing, and basic hygeine.  With this being a new home (coupled with the loss of both parents), he also needs the reassurance that he is safe and they are near.  They are doing the labor portion themselves, the donations will cover the cost of materials.
