Robert and Jamiel's Final Film!

Donation protected

What you need to know about our Upcoming Project:

The project, currently untitled, is an action-adventure film that explores the dynamic experience of young-adulthood. It follows two university students that find themselves wrapped up in the pressures of college life. As they enter this unfamiliar territory, they must face the ultimate test of friendship.

 What inspired this film?

A professor once said, “in university you must choose two of three things: grades, friends, or sleep”. In this film, our heroes must choose only one.

Where will the money go?

Who’s involved?

Robert Laird (Director & Co-Writer) is in his final year at The Mel Hoppenheim School of Advanced Cinema at Concordia. He has been making short films since the age of 7, and this is his most ambitious project to date. He hopes this project will make you laugh, and perhaps even cry.

Jamiel Rahi (Co-Writer) is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Concordia University. A musician since the age of 8, he spends his extra time away from school on artistic projects. In this case, he is combining his engineering knowledge with his love of film to focus on the technical aspects of film production.

For the first time, Robert and Jamiel have teamed up with Alex Lane (Cinematographer & Sound), who has single-handedly elevated the visual quality of the film, beyond what was ever expected.

Our Amazing Cast & Crew:

 ALEX LANE, CINEMATOGRAPHER

Alex is a quiet but talented artist who is currently completing a BFA at Concordia University. His primary passion is Music but do not underestimate his Visual capabilities. He hopes you will enjoy this upcoming project and looks forward to a long and fulfilling artistic career.

ANNA ARROBAS, HOPE

She is on her way to fame, fortune and possibly one of the next contenders of the controversial new reality show “Slave Traders: Real Broke and Real Desperate”.

Kieran Dunn, Professor Infinity

Kieran's performance in this upcoming project is at one moment bold and hungry, and at another soft and comforting. He is a risk taker, a loyal friend, and an endlessly creative filmmaker. His contributions to any project are a priceless asset.

Liz Prati, Professor Skrilliox

Liz is a person who loves every aspect of film. Especially films she likes. Cool movies are her passion, and her performance in this upcoming project is an overflowing fountain of passion. Liz hopes you'll support this project, and thanks you personally for your contribution.

James Bernicky, Ûnköl

James is a former theatre student at Concordia University. After school, he spent 2 years in a film industry! He is currently looking for work and enjoying life. This is his third project with Robert and Jamiel, and certainly not the last.

Marie Lemieux, Film Artist / Painter

Marie contributed her talents and resources to help make this up coming project possible. Her constant support for the vision of the film has long been a beacon of hope for the co-creators. Marie is also an exceptional painter with dreams of making it big.

Jancie Creaney, Film Artist / Prop Master
Jancie is a poet, musician, and filmmaker who also has a love of crafts. Her keen eye and musical ear were essential in making the props of the film come to life. She hopes to work on more exciting projects very soon, and her respect for the director is boundless.
