The Susan Olsen Sailing School Fund

As many of you know, a large part of Susan’s life was the Argentia Beach Sailing School at Pigeon Lake, which she passionately spent many years organizing and developing. This fund will go towards purchasing some extra sailboats for the sailing school that the summer village could own and maintain and make available for kids who do not have a boat themselves to rent in the sailing school that runs every summer. This is an idea that Susan tried to pursue herself while organizing the sailing school, so we feel she would be very happy to see it brought to life in her name. Susan noticed that many kids around the lake wanted to learn how to sail but did not have access to a sailboat that they could bring to the sailing school (which is a requirement). Owning a sailboat can be a very expensive privilege for some families, but Susan wanted to give every child the opportunity to enjoy the sailing school, which is also a great opportunity to meet and make friends with other kids around the lake.
Donations of functioning second hand sailboats would also gladly be accepted.
