We never know what unexpected journey's life will bring us.  Some journeys are filled with tremendous joy and others can be devastingly life-altering.  I am on a journey that has changed me forever in so many ways.  I and my family were broadsided with an unexpected life-threatening medical emergency in January of 2017.    I recovered but found myself,  three months later, in a different fight, a fight for my life.

On April 10, 2017,  my wedding anniversary, I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive lobular carcinoma breast cancer.   When the call came, I "knew" the doctor was going to say that all was clear and that my tumors were fibrocystic changes.  But,  I already knew the real answer.  Something inside me was in denial, even though my brain and heart spoke the truth to my soul.  When the doctor said "cancer",  I had no doubt evil had invaded my body and I needed to destroy it.

So, my life has changed.   I have never been so vulnerable in my life and felt so humbled as well.  Reaching out and allowing others in, has been difficult at times because I need and want the assistance and support of others  physically, emotionally, and financially to make it through this craziness but doing so leaves me more exposed.  God equipped me with the knowledge and belief that I am stronger than this evil and that I have power over it.  I will overcome this.  I assembled a superb medical team to fight which brings it's degree of confidence.  I also feel so fortunate to be surrounded by people that love me.

This has been hard.   Surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation,  more future surgeries and physical therapy has left a distressing and stunning amount of bills and there is still more to come.    Driving back and forth plus parking, when having to attend appointments, takes a chunk out of the bank account.

Many have asked  the question "what can we do for you?  Please let us know".  So many have helped and I/we appreciate everything.  We share our lives but only so much.  We are a private family which is the reason why I don't ask for too much help.  However, I/we need your help.  We have medical bills that keep sprouting limbs.    Helping to reduce the financial stress would be so appreciated.  The  hope is that alleviating some of the financial stress I can heal successfully without the worry of how to pay another bill which can make healing more difficult, get any  additional beneficial treatments if needed, get help with being able to direct regular funds towards fixing long overdue house repairs that have been put on hold due to fighting cancer,  and finally, be able to continue to help others.

I know this has been so draining on the heart and soul of everyone.  I want to put light back into my loved-ones lives.   Thank you for your prayers, taking the time to read my story and thank you for your help.  Please continue praying for me.  Please add to your prayers that I find a great job when all of this is over and that my family recovers quickly from this life change.  I pray your journey helps you to "save other's while you save yourself".  I thank God for everything he has done for me, the people he has put in my path, the future I have yet to see and being with me my entire life's journey.

Respectfully,
Danyelle
