Hello Family and Friends,

We are setting up this GoFundMe for Yeimy Martinez, beloved mother of 3, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. This was at the request of people who know her and love her dearly whom wished to make a financial contribution to help. Above all we ask for your prayers for Yeimy and our family. This is a very hard time as we patiently wait for her recovery and are being told she may not make it. We’re holding on to hope.

She was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer and had a hysterectomy in an attempt to remove all the cancerous cells from her body. After her recovery from the hysterectomy the doctor told her she still had cancerous cells in her body and had to undergo chemotherapy. We thought she was doing better and though she was very tired from therapy, we could see light in her eyes. A little while after she noticed she had a buildup of fluids. She had to go, yet again, to the doctor where she had the fluids removed. On the week of Thanksgiving she was allowed to go home but was having issues eating and drinking and was losing weight as a result. Her daughter, Alessia, noticed that her breathing was abnormal and rushed her to the emergency room where they had to induce a coma in order to have her breathing regulated. We were told shortly after that they were unsure if she would make it through the night. She made it through the night but now we are being told her body is exhausted from the fight. The doctors were able to confirm that cancer cells were found and that the cancer is aggressive and rapidly progressing at stage 4.

Because of her prolonged medical journey she has had to leave work and has been focusing on her health. She has been an incredible manager at McDonalds for over 20 years and many of the employees who have worked with her can attest to this and call her family.

We are asking for donations to help support her children and family through this time of grief. Any amount will help. We also ask for your prayers. If you are unable to give, we ask that you would still please keep our family and Yeimy in your prayers and ask others to pray. Prayer is our most effective tool. We love her dearly and would much rather have her here safe with us than going through what she is going through.

We will keep you updated with her status as we receive news and any turn of events.

With Love,

Yeimy’s Family
