This belief is what led my dad to become passionately involved in several Los Angeles music communities. 

The drive to become involved was inspired by the joy he experienced by encouraging other talented musicians, and nurturing their creative spirits.  Every week, for several years, he gave seasoned and blooming musicians a platform for creative expression.  I do believe my Dad's own artistry did flourish, as in his quote above.

Naturally, my dad saw fit to put on a concert to give him "boost", both spiritually and financially, for his surgery three days later.
