A Voice in Europe for Social Justice and Climate

Donation protected
As MEP for Ireland South I will be a voice for workers and carers on climate action and social justice.

My main priority in this European campaign is to lay the groundwork for a rejuvenated political movement for workers and carers which is capable of tackling the climate crisis. Austerity followed by eco-austerity has left both the workers’ and climate movements without representation in Ireland while the ruling class accelerates us into climate and social breakdown. Now more than ever we need an alternative to this dismal outlook. I need your financial support to catalyse that alternative, and that starts with winning a seat in the European Parliament. As MEP for Ireland South I can make that argument to over 2 million people, and build momentum across almost half the country. My experience in Cork City Council tells me that fighting within this political system is not enough to produce a change in political direction.

My party, Rabharta, has programmes for political change and decarbonisation that puts workers and carers in a stronger position where the real politics happens: workplaces, communities and homes . My campaign slogan is “A Better World is Possible”. That simple message is resonating with thousands of people I have met on the campaign trail so far. Help me to realise that change as MEP.

My campaign uses public transport almost exclusively and is a door-to-door canvassing campaign where I am directly having conversations with workers and carers about their priorities, concerns and ideas.

I am going to places that require me to pay for travel, accommodation and food for not just myself but my campaign team who are helping me out, as well as the usual literature, posters and advertising. To give an idea of scale, the average spend of sitting MEPs in the Ireland South constituency was €100,000 in 2019.

Every cent counts and if you can donate money that would really help me! My team has been working hard at it and we are feeling optimistic that we can break through.
