A Second Miracle for My Mom

This is my mom, Jolene. Last month, she was rushed to the emergency room in terrible pain; a diverticula in her colon had burst, causing a raging infection and enough damage that everyone was sure she would need at least one surgery. Some full spectrum antibiotics and plenty of rest got her past the infection, but impending surgery still worried us all. After a few weeks to recover more fully -- and many, many prayers -- she went back to the doctor to assess the damage. They found that the perforation had fully healed. 

The gratitude we all feel for this outcome cannot be overstated. However, the health insurance my mom gets through her job has a rather high deductible, and the ER bills are coming in. My mom works hard to support herself and my dad, whose own physical limitations caught up with him a few years ago to the point that he can no longer work himself. After having had to move from Utah back to Oregon for my dad's health, they have little in the way of savings. Perhaps you think it churlish to ask for a second miracle for my mother, but I know that she would not for a second hesitate to do the same for me. 

The initial goal is the amount of the first ER bill she received; if we are fortunate enough to surpass that, any additional funds will go toward any other bills received hereafter.

Please help my mom get her second miracle.
