A School's Future in Liberia

Donation protected
My family and I have long supported the creation of The True Vine Institute, a school in Montserrado County, Liberia.  Liberia is one of the poorest countries in the world.

It was founded in 2000 by the Rev James Zaza. He created it to help educate children who had been forced to be child soldiers during the country's civil war. Starting with 116, it now numbers 763 students.

Over the years we have helped to provide building materials, clothing, equipment and educational resources, eg laptops and books. We support them with funds for food and medicine during crises such as Ebola and flooding and now Covid. Last Christmas, we sent £980 which covered the wages of 34 staff for three months.

We have also supported them with their annual rent of £600 for many years. Now
the school has the opportunity to buy the compound of 4 buildings and the land that they sit on at a cost of $12000 (£9000). This is a great opportunity for the True Vine Institute to own the school for themselves.

We are in regular contact and have received reports and photos of the school's progress over the years.

In November 2020 we helped them with the first of three instalment towards purchasing. We now ask if you would help us to raise the remaining £6000 over the coming months. Everything goes directly to the school for the continuing future education of the children, all of whom have dreams as our own children do.

Your generosity in supporting this appeal will make a great difference to so many.

Many thanks in anticipation and A Happy Christmas
