Hi, my name is Kelli, and I’m a mother of two daughters rebuilding our lives after escaping domestic violence.

For 10 months, my girls and I lived in a domestic violence shelter while I worked to keep us safe and create a fresh start. Leaving was necessary, but starting over from nothing has been incredibly difficult.

When we finally had the opportunity, I purchased a trailer so we could have a place of our own and placed it on a friend’s property. After moving in, I discovered serious wiring issues that I was unaware of at the time of purchase. Because of these electrical problems, the trailer is not safe to heat, leaving us without reliable warmth during the winter months.

Rather than investing money into extensive electrical repairs, we are now trying to raise funds to purchase a used camper or RV that would provide us with safe, temporary housing while we continue to rebuild. This option is more affordable and would immediately give my children a warm, stable place to live.

Just as I began slowly rebuilding my savings, my car broke down and my glasses broke, both essential for working and caring for my children. These unexpected expenses forced me to dip into the small amount of savings I had managed to build, leaving us struggling once again.

Funds raised will help us:

Purchase a used camper/RV for safe temporary housing

Cover transportation repairs so I can continue working

Support basic necessities while we stabilize

Asking for help is not easy, but I am doing this for my daughters—to give them safety, warmth, and stability after everything we have endured.
