A Relaxing Space For My Dad

My name is Sophie, my lovely Dad has been recently diagnosed with liver cancer. He is also dealing with prostate cancer amongst the possibility of the cancer having spread to his lungs. Over the years my Dads home has fallen into a state of disrepair and mould has formed in most rooms, he isn’t heating his home due to the huge gas costs and I caught him using a tiny electric heater the other day (he has tried to convince me that it was sufficient) and it broke my heart. I want to decorate the living area and his bedroom, eliminate the mould and use any further monies to put toward his gas bill so he can use his central heating to be warm when he feels poorly or when he comes back from hospital.

He still goes to work every day to earn a small wage and regardless of his health, he continues to have a smile on his face and will do anything he can for others. So it’s time I do something for him and make his home a relaxing and healthy place for him to be when he has his treatment. 

Whether you give money or just simply share this, you will be helping me make positive changes in his life. My dad is my hero, I love him unmeasurable amounts and anyone that knows him will understand why im doing this for him. My Dad never makes a fuss, never asks for a thing (only my Netflix password) and is just grateful for whatever he has. I know this will make him so happy and will give him strength to fight this horrible disease.

I will be using as much of my own money as possible to start the ball rolling, as we get going with fundraising I will update you all with what we’ve been able to achieve ❤️
