Community, Friends, & Family, we have all experienced our fair share of sufferings in life. The greatest testament to times of opposition is not the outcome, but the journey through and how we weather the storm. Jerome, Amber, & the Pleasant family is an epitome of what is looks like to be an inspiration no matter the obstacles. They have continued to stay positive and appreciate life where from the outside looking in many would have given up.
Edgewood Family FB Group invites all to join in being a blessing to a family who we all can be inspired by to aspire in life. They are a family of 9, who 6 out of the 9 are battling, in remission, or succumbed to cancer. The odds of a person battling cancer is about 40% and for a family is rare. Edgewood Family knows that we can not carry this burden for them but would like to help make it a little lighter. We have organized an event on July 9th to show the Pleasant family there is a community of love and support surrounding them and to send positive vibes before Jerome has to go in for a biopsy surgery on July 10th. We will parade the streets of their neighborhood with cars full of people honking horns and sending positive vibes to the family, as well as, collecting donations such as, cards of encouragement, household items, and necessities.
We are amazed by the overwhelming response from the Edgewood Family and communities near and far sending their support, well wishes, and asking what can they do to help. Therefore, we have set up this page. We do not take for granted anyone's desire to bless another and only ask that you give from the heart. The amount suggested is to assist with medical bills & expenses, maintaining quality of life, and caring for their children. We know that this is not a cure for their current situation but we hope it will impact enough so their focus can be on healing and their family.
Let us all take a page from their book and remember there will be hard times in life but we can all find a joy and inspiration to remain positive. Edgewood Family appreciates everyone's donations, shares, and positives vibes and know that you being a blessing will be pleasant for the family.
