Need help with Memory Care facility costs

Hello, I'm Donna, Tom's wife of 30 years and now his full time caregiver. Tom was diagnosed with Dementia 6 years ago at the age of 69 and is now at the major stage of this terrible debilitating and degrading disease. Our daughter, Jennifer is Downs Syndrome shown above with Tom. She is 39 years old and lives with us and I am her full time caregiver as well. I am not Superwoman and caregiving 24/7 for 2 people who depend on me has become an unmanageable task. I never thought I would have to make such a difficult decision to place my husband in a facility but that time has come. This disease causes patients and their caretakers to need considerable resources and assistance from healthcare professionals and agencies. The combination of cognitive, motor and behavioral symptoms creates a highly challenging set of demands for continuing care. I need your financial help so that I can place Tom in a nice decent facility where I know he will be taken good care of and be comfortable. It is very expensive as I have started calling and researching different facilities and I'm shocked at the prices. His current health benefits will not fully cover these absorbent prices.
Tom has been in public service his entire working career as a police officer helping people in his community and now he needs help. All funds will be directly used to help pay for his room & care monthly in an assisted living facility locally.
While I remain positive and hopeful, we all know there is no cure. It’s not going to get better. It’s unfair, but this disease will eventually take his life. It’s important that I try as best I can to be prepared for every stage he moves into and provide Tom with the best life possible. I love him and know he would absolutely do the same for me.
