A Parting gift for Nursery - story sacks!
Hello!
As you may already know, the government have squeezed the life out of early years funding and right now there is very little to spare. Our lovely nursery are brilliant at bringing stories to life through their Traditional Tales topic. They place a huge focus on story language and getting children joining in and applying the language from the stories in their play. Key to this is re-enacting the stories with puppets, both the teachers together with their groups, and after for the children to have a go independently. The children absolutely love doing this and Nursery are in need of Story Sacks for their core texts;
The Gingerbread Man
The Three Little Pigs
Jack and the Beanstalk
The Three Billy Boats Gruff
The Very Hungry caterpillar
They generally cost about £25-£30 each.
If you are leaving the nursery this year, it would be the perfect gift and way to say thank you. I will write a thank you card to go with each one and pop your name in if you leave it with your contribution. Any spare money can go on extra props such as foam masks for re-enacting. If we are speedy, I can try and sort it before the end of term!
