A Parents Prayer

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this asking for your help. My sister, a beautiful and excited mom to be, along with her husband Peter had been so happy and both families were overjoyed and planning the arrival of twins!It is painful to write, but they lost their precious baby girl yesterday, July 28th – Autumn Rose. Autumn shared the womb with her twin brother, Austin Ryder.
After a healthy check-up on Monday, something went terribly wrong yesterday. Kelly went into labor long before anticipated. Autumn was born within hours at just 21 weeks. Kelly and Peter got to hold her tiny little body and love her until the lord took her home 15 minutes later. The hospital equipment was not small enough for a preemie her size, and they couldn’t do anything to save her. God has his reasons for taking her and we believe it was to save her twin brother who is still in the womb. Immediately after Autumn’s birth, labor ceased. We are praying Austin waits a few more weeks at the very least, so that he may bring back joy to these parents with the birth of a healthy child. The hospital has determined her on bedrest for the duration of her pregnancy with Austin. This might be 2 weeks or it might be to term. We are still waiting to hear if she will complete the remainder of her pregnancy at the hospital or if they are going to release her home.
Of course, this means Kelly is out of work and the medical insurance does not cover everything. Her job was full-time, yet seasonal so she has no paid maternity. Her husband was going back to work this Monday after being out for a few months due to an injury. With a soon to be 3 year old at home bed rest is not going to be easy. Both families are doing the best we can to try and help with expenses. With many of us having families of our own, we have realized we need help.
Autumn Rose’s little life mattered so much to us all even if it was just for a few moments. Laying this baby to her final resting place will be the hardest. Please, find it in your hearts to help with whatever you can. It is a small comfort to these parents knowing they can grieve their loss without the worry of expenses. We thank you from the very bottom of our heavy hearts.
Please keep Austin Ryder Delanoy in your prayers. We hope to have the chance to tell him the love his sister had for him to give up her life so that he may live. Love and peace to you all – The Warner and Delanoy families. <3
