Aja's personal story is rooted in the untold struggles of her father, who faced health issues but reassured her that everything was okay. Unbeknownst to her, he concealed the full extent of his living situation, tragically passing away in his car. This heartbreaking revelation became the driving force behind Aja's mission to address homelessness on a broader scale.

Growing up in a home where compassion was a way of life, Aja witnessed her grandmother and mother open their doors to family and friends in need. Her grandmother's impactful assistance in securing apartments for friends, preventing them from facing life on the streets, left an indelible mark on Aja's heart. This legacy inspired her to envision not just more shelters but nationwide policies ensuring a permanent home for everyone, regardless of their status.
