Help Hannah Get the Medical Care She Deserves!
Hannah Kozloff is a devoted wife to her husband,DJ, and a loving mother to their two children, Rio (9) and Karma (7). Despite facing lifelong health challenges, she has continued to show strength, compassion, and resilience — caring for her family and others even while battling chronic pain.
Since childhood, Hannah has struggled with multiple health conditions, including endometriosis and three rare vascular compression syndromes: May-Thurner Syndrome, Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, and Nutcracker Syndrome. These conditions cause significant vein compressions — with her iliac vein compressed by 50% and her left renal vein by 75% — leading to debilitating pelvic and flank pain, extreme fatigue, and severe discomfort in daily life.
Over the past five years, Hannah has endured four pelvic surgeries and two vascular surgeries, but none have successfully relieved her symptoms. In 2024, she was forced to undergo an emergency hysterectomy after her reproductive organs became bound to her pelvic wall. Even after all of this, the pain persists — and her doctors believe that Nutcracker Syndrome remains a major factor.
Because Nutcracker Syndrome is so rare, there are limited treatment options available in Colorado, and Hannah’s insurance does not currently cover out-of-state care without extensive and difficult-to-obtain documentation. The specialists she’s seen locally have been slow to provide the necessary paperwork, delaying her ability to seek better treatment elsewhere.
To make matters more complicated, Hannah has a severe allergy to nickel, meaning she cannot receive stents, as all surgical metals used in the U.S. contain nickel. One local treatment option — a complex kidney auto-transplant — would involve moving her kidney to a different location in her pelvis. However, before undergoing something so drastic and risky, Hannah needs to be evaluated by several out-of-state specialists who have experience with these rare vascular conditions.
Despite living in chronic pain, Hannah continues to show up for her family, her community, and her work every day. She has fought for her health for years — but now she needs help fighting for access to the right care.
Hannah’s goal is to raise $25,000 to help cover:
- Travel and lodging expenses for out-of-state medical consultations
- Childcare costs during travel and treatment
- Lost wages from time off work
- Out-of-pocket medical expenses for one or multiple evaluations
Every donation, no matter the size, brings Hannah closer to getting the treatment she needs — and to reclaiming her quality of life.
If you’re unable to donate, please share her story to help spread the word.
