A Moment of Grace

Donation protected
In February of this year, the Warner Family began a journey that has led them to this moment of grace as they prepare to say goodbye to Emily, their eldest daughter (29 y.o.). Emily’s life has been full of good works and faith; her favorite quote is “do small things with great love.”  When she was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma--the most aggressive type of brain tumor—her family rallied around her. No one has devoted more time and care to Emily than her husband, Antonio, and her mother, Tirsa Warner. A separate and successful GFM was set up for Emily and Antonio to cover medically related travel and health expenses. The purpose of this fundraiser is to assist Tirsa and the Warner family with the cumulative cost of lost time at work. Tirsa has myasthenia gravis, a condition caused by a breakdown in communication between nerves and muscles. It is exacerbated by acute emotional stress. Friends and family would like to give the Warners an opportunity to be with their Emmy who is now in hospice care. We want to be of service to them as they have been to others.  Tirsa is a registered nurse who works with pre-transplant patients. Her husband, William, is a mental health counselor. They have two younger children, Doug (26) and Elisa (17) who begins college at LSU next August and plans to study Biology. Please consider giving with great love.
