A Memorial Sculpture Of Oscar For Sian

Donation protected
Oscar was sadly taken from us far too soon at the age of 4 after being hit by a car on December 2nd 2020.

However, what happened after has left our family; my little sister in particular, totally heartbroken.

Everyone, at every step of the way, failed him. From the person who ran him over and simply left him in the road, to the person whose house he was outside of who did no more than ring the council to deal with Oscar's body, to the contractors of the council who chucked him in the back of their truck and now appear to have 'lost' him instead of storing him in a freezer like they should've done. Oscar was hit less than half a mile from the village vets, all someone had to do was treat him with dignity, wrap him in a blanket and take him there and we could've had him home - instead of his final resting place being landfill. He deserved much more than that.

Because of the careless actions of the contractors, we won't be getting Oscar home. We won't have an urn, his paw prints hung up in the house and we won't get to say a proper goodbye.

I want to get a personalised sculpture made of Oscar so that my family and I will always have a piece of him with us. We have urns of our other pets and Oscar deserves to be sat with them, together.

The sculptures cost around a couple of hundred pounds, but anything you can donate towards it would be so appreciated. Anything that is left over from these donations will be donated to the local cat sanctuary near us in Bristol.

Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you for all the kind words, support and love that everyone has shown to my family and I in the last few days.
