Our names are Jacob Robinson and Jackson Dicker, and we are looking for some funding for our Senior Film & Television Capstone short film. We are seniors at the University of Arizona, and we have spent four years here learning about film production practices, as well as producing some of our own short films, in order to be prepared to make this one, which will cap off our entire time spent here at the university.
A Man's Man is a story about two brothers who are forced to overcome their own pain and learn how to communicate after one of the brother's failed suicide attempts. It is a semi-autobiographical story and breaks down the barriers of toxic masculinity that are seldom talked about in today's society.
The filming will commence during the weekend of October 29-31, and it will cost us around $2000 if we want to make it the best it can be. Jacob can be reached via email at [email redacted]zona.edu, and Jackson's is [email redacted]zona.edu.
Those who do donate will be given a special thanks in the credits of the short film. It would be much appreciated if we had the funds a week or two before filming starts.
