A Little Extra Love For the Trepanier's
Don protégé

Hello Friends,
It is with a heavy heart for the Trepanier Family that I let you know that dear Rheanna passed away on the evening of September 2nd with her Momma holding her so so close.
As we all grieve in our own ways, I was asked to update everyone and ask if anyone would like to help this family with funeral costs.
You are so loved, Marissa and family.
And we will help any way we can.
Naomi xoxo

I've been trying to find the words how to begin this page, so I will start back at the beginning....
A diagnosis in October 2016 changed the course of a young family here in Edmonton forever. Marissa Trepanier received news that no parent ever wants to hear.
Brain cancer in her 10-year-old daughter.
Rheanna was diagnosed with two different types of brain tumours: anaplastic oligodendroglioma (Grade III) and glioblastoma (Grade IV).
A few surgeries were done and she was given months to live.
As a momma myself, I can't even imagine. Close your eyes and let that sink in .
This was the original Global News interview with sweet Rheanna and her mom, and the article written back in 2016 right when she was diagnosed, that can help you get to know this loving family:
https://globalnews.ca/news/3088106/10-year-old-edmonton-girl-with-4-brain-tumours-chasing-bucket-list-before-christmas/?fbclid=IwAR3xUaJRkZt2DI46hwWgM6C7HIRHA8nlL9Zt6i1WpvRaJI2fe14lk3KXicY
A bucket list was started for Rheanna and she was able to experience so many fun and once-in-a-lifetime things!
And everyone was preparing themselves for the inevitable grief of cancer.
But Rheanna...she is one strong fighting girl...she beat the odds.
Three and a half years later and her smiles still grace our life.

This last week though, Marissa had to take Rheanna to the hospital due to her loss of lower-body movement and intense lower-body pain. After an MRI was done, Marissa was told news that would make any parent speechless...
The tumors are back in her brain...and have now moved down her spine as well.
Other than helping Rheanna with the pain, there is nothing they can do. This cancer (which usually isn't a cancer that metastasizes (spreads) at all) is now angry and aggressive. She has now been given weeks.

The reason why I felt compelled to create a gofundme page is this....Marissa is a beautiful, caring, single momma of 4 pretty awesome kiddos and I know as a single mom, life can be crazy in the first place (taking care of everyone, feeling pulled in every direction, having to pinch pennies to get to the next pay cheque etc etc), without having the added diagnosis of one of your children being so very sick.
I know life is crazy now for a lot of people in terms of work and money, but I'd like to challenge you and ask if there is a place in your heart to help this Momma out. Maybe knowing all the bills are paid could be a burden off her back and a sigh of relief in this crazy hard time. I know her plans are to bring Rheanna home for her last few weeks, and homecare can be expensive.
Let's give a little extra love to this family. If you're unable to financially help right now, please consider sharing this post and sending a prayer up for this family. If you've ever wanted to share some love but weren't sure how, this is the most deserving woman I know.

(If you'd like to get to know the family more, follow her journey on her facebook page: Rheanna's Bucket List)

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Your help will never go to a more deserving family.
Naomi xoxo
