A lifting hand. A wheelchair lift.

So spring is coming and just like most people Octavio has anxiously been awaiting it, as he has been couped up in the house through the winter season. Relying on me which is not an issue with me at all. But looking forward to some independence that spring and summer months give him along with the enjoyment of nice weather. Normally even winter he has some independence but this year hasn't quite been the same, as he hasn't had an accessible lift. Yes we made the decision to sell our old house and buy something we thought would be more accessible for him, but has definitely had some snags. Not pointing fingers at anyone here, it was an unlucky break when we lost our wheelchair lift with the old house. The realtor did fix the problem and we were able to buy a used lift. Unfortunately the lift did not work for long and I have went through many measures to get some help with repairing it. To only find out it was 15 years old and pretty much repairable. So now we have been going through other measures to get a new lift for him for spring. Our latest resort was March of dimes. Today has been a day ruined by their denial letter. I'm trying to wrap my head around it and decide what is my next step to make this important thing for my husband happen, i know i will figure it out, but right now I'm just at loss and maybe feeling a bit like I let him down.   sorry for the long post.
