A Lasting Legacy for Molly Iris Lane Coker

Donation protected

I am Dr. Brian Wilcox. I am a friend of Rebecca Lane and Rylan Coker and I am assisting them with creating a scholarship fund in honor of their daughter, Molly, who died on May 25, 2021 at age 13, in a drowning accident. We are hoping to create an enduring, $1500 per year scholarship fund that will last through what would have been Molly's entire life. The scholarship will be awarded to a Tunkhannock Area High School senior who embodies kindness, love and service to others.

Molly was an incredible soul who touched so so many lives in just 13 years. She loved God, her family, her friends, and the world around her. She was gentle, kind, feisty, fierce, and brave. Molly was light years ahead of her time, a mature soul in such a young body. But most importantly Molly loved and is loved, fiercely, entirely and eternally. She was a friend to all and whoever, especially those who needed it, young or old.

From Dr. Who, Peter Capaldi's farewell speech: “Never be cruel, never be cowardly...Remember - hate is always foolish...and love, is always wise. Always try to be nice, but never fail to be kind. ..Laugh hard, run fast, be kind.”
