Kidney surgery for Achan
Donation protected
Achan Mayan Ayan is 12 years old and is in ICU in Cairo, Egypt, after both her kidneys have begun to fail. Help fund life-saving surgery for her by donating anything you can: even that $5 you would normally spend on a morning coffee. If enough of us do it Achan will survive to see her 13th birthday.
Achan loves school and grew up in Juba, South Sudan. With family in Melbourne, Australia, including her aunt, Aguer—an endlessly modest but hugely important role model in the community—we need to all come together to save a life. We take so much for granted in Australia, especially our health system, and a new kidney for Achan is set to cost $6500AUD. Let us show that ordinary people can do extraordinary things. That we can all contribute more, and that it is our obligation. Please give what you can. We’ll be updating you here but Achan needs your help, along with her mother Mayen and her extended family here in Richmond and Fitzroy, Melbourne.
