A humble ask for help for a Veteran in crisis.

Hi, my name is Kristi and this is my brother, Richard (Rick). Rick is 48 years old and a 10 year Naval Veteran who suffered his first stroke in November 2022; his second stroke January 2023; a third stroke on an unknown date in between. Rick completed his career with the Navy after 10 years and since has worked as a civilian at the NATO base on the island of Crete in Greece where he fueled and helped maintain military aircraft. He is the father of three children along with his lovely partner, Georgia. Rick suffered his first stroke two days before moving to Bahrain where he planned a life changing dream job on base. Since November Rick has had no income and no veteran benefits. Social Security disability can take a minimum of 6 months if approved at all; obtaining while in Europe has proved to be an even more difficult obstacle than if he were stateside. Rick is currently hospitalized in Greece and undergoing numerous tests with no answers. Our Hope is to provide financial assistance to Rick and his family for medical expenses incurred, better medical care and therapy going forward, food and living expenses while his income is halted. Please pray, send good vibes or any positive actions you believe in for my brother’s recovery.
