A lot of you know our beautiful sister Suzie, what many do not know is that she has been battling the biggest fight of her life for the past 4 weeks.
Suzie was working her last shifts as a hairdresser before going on maternity leave, she was excited to have some rest time (well as much rest as you can when you already have 2 kids under 4) before baby number 3 entered the world. Then one afternoon after work Suzie was not feeling great, took a bath and when she got out suffered a seizure while the kids were there. She was rushed to hospital but later discharged only to have another one when she was home. From that point on she was rushed to John Hunter Hospital where she has been since.
During her time at John Hunter she has undergone a series of tests, while her condition deteriorated rapidly and had been told they were not sure what the problem was. Finally, she was told the devastating news that nobody should ever have to hear, especially a 28-year-old mum of 2 soon to be 3 beautiful children, Suzie has Stage 4 Brain Cancer which is in-operable. This diagnosis sent shock waves through her family and friends and turned their world upside down.
The only shining light of the situation is that she gave birth to a happy healthy baby girl Maya ,the third child for this beautiful family. Maya has put smiles on faces during the situation when there feels like there is nothing else to smile about.
Suzie has come home and going to commence Chemotherapy and Radiation in a bid to slow the growth down, her husband Jesse has taken extended leave off work to be by her side and look after the kids. She has the support of her family and friends, but they will still need all the help they can get.
So, if you could please help in any way the family will be forever grateful. Raising money will help the family spend as much quality time together as they can and allow Jesse to take as much time off work as needed.
