Unexpected Funeral Costs for Shirley Adams

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of our beloved Shirley Adams due to cancer. Shirley was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She lost both of her children over two decades ago and still remained strong and vibrant for her grandchildren and family in the face of unimaginable loss. 

Shirley loved to create things, she was an avid artist creating art as long as I can remember. She loved searching for arrowheads in the creeks where she grew up and collecting rocks and other things outdoors. She was always smiling and laughing and was there for everyone anytime they were in need. 

Shirley was living her life to the fullest until she found out she had a brain tumor a month before her death. She continued to function normally until a week before her death when she returned to the hospital and her tumor had tripled in size. She was sent to a larger hospital and they found stage 4 lung cancer, and cancer in her blood, bones, colon, lymph nodes and her brain. Within days of that diagnosis she got double pneumonia and a collapsed lung. Her family and friends gathered around her in her hospital room on her final days and she passed away in their presence, less than a week after her diagnosis, on April 6, 2025. 

This unexpected loss has left her family reeling emotionally and financially. Without support, her granddaughter Megan Mccluney will solely bear the financial responsibility of her funeral and burial as Shirley had no life or burial insurance. Megan is a mother with 2 young children and shouldn’t have to do this alone.
