A Heart For Korynne

22 year old Korynne Gilette had been placed on the heart transplant list and needs one quickly. Korynne had a heart valve replacement on September 28. Shortly after surgery, she cardiac arrested and has not recovered heart function since. She is currently on ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), which is an advanced life support technique used for patients with life-threatening heart and/or lung problems. It is what is keeping her alive.
She needs a new heart and last week was placed on the transplant list.
Korynne is also a new mom as of August 31. We're all very anxious to see her reunited with her sweet baby boy. As you can imagine, it's become a daily struggle for her parents (Jeff and Shanna) to keep vigil at the hospital and also care for her newborn.
