A Fo! - All Female Orchestra contains professional musicians from Mali and the Nordic countries. It is a rare chance for it's members to meet, create new music together and share their ways of lives, their culture and their musical expertise with each others.
The group is gathered together by flutist and singer Jenni Hanikka. The members met first time on summer 2018 and recorded two songs that are going to be soon published. This summer they will meet again and create more music. The dream of the group is, that they could go to studio again and record the new music they will make to create a full musical album. That way the music and the artistic experience could be spread to people far from us as well.
The collected funding will be used for the studio and engineer for two days. The recording period will be on the 3rd and 4th of July 2019. The digital code for downloading the music when it's ready and published will be sent to the fund donors.
