A Fight for a Father

The time is now....please read

I write this with urgency as time is sensitive, for my friend is fighting for his life and family.

Coleman Ray, a man and a pillar of faith and integrity, who has dedicated his life to mentoring others in the martial arts and fitness world. His passion for helping youth and adults find strength, both physically and mentally, was unparalleled. But life had dealt him a series of devastating blows. On November 6th of 2021, Coleman experienced unimaginable grief as he lost his beloved wife, Susan of 27 years to cancer and left alone to raise his then 13 year-old son, Logan, Coleman found solace in his faith and the unwavering support of his community. He promised Susan he would protect their son, no matter what.

In January of 2023, Coleman's own health took a treacherous turn. Severe stomach pain and blood in his stool led to a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 colon cancer. Although bewildered, Coleman's spirit remained uncrushed. He turned to prayer and unwavering determination, seeking medical counsel to explore his options.

The news was grim. The cancer had spread to his liver, leaving chemotherapy as the only viable option. But the thought of subjecting himself to the same treatment that had claimed his wife's life was unbearable. Determined to keep his promise to Logan, Coleman chose a different path and with steadfast fortitude, he opted for alternative treatments and pursued other treatments as he was searching for new trials and other approved treatments that could possibly save him from this terrible disease. Financial as we all know medical expenses and paying bills can be very stressful and difficult to manage.

Today, Coleman Ray stands at a crossroads, where the strength of his faith and the support of others to become lifelines for him. He humbly asks for help in two vital ways: financial assistance and prayer. In these trying times, actions of compassion must transcend mere words of hope.
