A Community Thank you Gift for Preston Imaams

We pray the intention behind this fundraising is accepted by the Almighty. Aameen.
It has a simple purpose. To offer our appreciation for our full time Imaams of ALL the Masajid of Preston (Lancashire) and offer a personal gift for Eid.
On the authority of Abu Huraira (peace be upon him) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), said "give each other gifts and you will love each other."
Our Imaams continued work of delivering Islam in Ramadhan as they do all year round, should be appreciated especially in these times. Each day the zeal and concern for their community is heard in their voices in seclusion of the Masajid and home.
Be it through salaah, duaas, bayaans, taaleems, talks, schooling, charity distribution, community support, burial support and more (the list is endless and the effort ongoing) our Imaams are always at the forefront to assist us in any needs.
Today as we remember and value many different people in our thoughts it is only right to highlight the wonderful efforts of our Imaams who have always been there for the community, any hour of any day to help us benefit in this world and the Hereafter.
My family and others were thinking what could we do for this? Then we thought "why not have a community wide effort so all and everyone, young and old, who wish to take part can also. A nice gesture and a little something we can give back."
We know gifting is such a positive part of Islam so please do so generously within ones capacity so we can offer each Imaam as best a gift as we can Insha'Allah.
The aim of this is for ALL full time Imaams of ALL Masajid in Preston. It’s a private initiative not linked to any Masajid or committee. Everyone can take part.
As a gift raising campaign we didn't wish to set a target but required to do so. From the Masajid identified and estimated 30 full time Imaams we hope to raise £3000.
Just £10 by 300 kind individuals is enough to hit it. Whatever one wishes to gift is appreciated. We know and pray you will help it go beyond that and make it amazing.
If less than 50% of the target is reached, then on scholarly advice received, to not make any Imaam feel small with an insignificant amount (meaning better to give nothing), we would share with a smaller number of Imaams from selected Masajid.
This would be done with care and attention, with no desire for any division or favouritism on our part. To avoid this, let us all help to hit at least 50% or more of the target.
Inshaa’Allah the full amount raised (less only the GoFundMe card processing fee of 2.9%+25p per gift payment made) will be provided to the Imaams on the day of Eid.
You can also ‘tip' GoFundMe to help keep platform charges free. We will not receive those tips. If you do not wish to tip please change the ‘tip’ option to ‘Other’ and input £0 when making your gift.
A brother sent the included 'South Africa IDP charity' video a few days ago. Although not relevant to our gifting campaign as this is not for charity, it was humbling to the often missed work of our Imaams.
We are grateful for your duaas and support. We begin Fri 1 May 2020 for just over two weeks to allow time to receive funds for Eid.
