A Car For Nurse Uganda

Nurse Uganda is an established community linking nurses in the UK with local health care projects in Uganda. One of the ways we do this is by facilitating  student nurses to travel to Uganda to work in hospitals and perform outreach care and education  in both rural and town settings as part of an elective placement. 

Each student  spends time working in hospitals and clinics, as well as in the rural village of Kasambya. Nurse Uganda is rooted in local communities and also works in partnership with other grass roots charities in rural Uganda including KISS and Human Kind. This means that students get a real experience of daily life and see the difference that Nurse Uganda & their associated charities makes. 

The students visit locations across Uganda which gives them a very varied experience, but hiring private transport is costly.  Buying a car for Nurse Uganda means that more money can go directly to funding valuable projects such as outreach healthcare in remote villages and providing nutritious food for adults and children attending their local clinic .
