A Cappella Academy 2021 - Juliette Judkins

Hi! My name is Juliette Judkins and I am a 18 year old singer from Bath, UK. This January, I auditioned for A Cappella Academy, an international vocal music program which will be held digitally this year. It is an extremely competitive program to get into, where approximately only the top 13% of auditionees are accepted (100 people). So, when I was accepted, I was over the moon to say this least and I am beyond grateful for this incredible opportunity! Due to the unprecedented times, this summer’s session will be digital.

Music has always been a massive part of my life. I joined a city choral choir at the age of 5 and ever since, I haven't stopped singing! I am committed to my school choir, other music clubs and I created my school's first A Capella group. I have participated in school productions, concerts and my school's Young Musician of the Year Competition for the last 3 years, and have enjoyed every second of it. I absolutely love performing and I especially love learning. I cannot wait to be surrounded by the family that is A Cappella Academy, where everyone is encouraged and supported. I am beyond excited to make friendships and connections for life with people who share similar interests and goals as me.
I love to arrange and creating my school’s first A Capella group definitely helped me to improve. I'm still learning and improving and that’s why I think A Capella academy would be such a perfect environment and place to be in. I want to be inspired and challenged to grow in terms of my voice, teamwork and confidence. I have been watching A Cappella Academy videos for around 5 years and every time I watch a video I can't resist the temptation to sing and harmonise. A Capella and music just make me a happier, more bubbly and less anxious person.
I have an opportunity to share my love for this amazing thing that is A Capella and grow as a musician/person, which is why I am here today.
Tuition for A Cappella Academy is $775 (including transaction fees), which is £555 (according to current exchange rates). As I am currently a secondary student and it is my ultimate goal to raise enough money to attend camp without putting any financial strain on my family.
The littlest amount goes the longest way, and if you can't donate anything, please SHARE this page to ultimately help spread the word of my goal to more people.
The deadline for any fundraising efforts for Academy is in March 31st, so please, help me spread the word and help me get to ACA Digital 2021 in June/July!
