Hi, this is Wren and Juniper Ingber and we have the incredible honor to have been accepted into A Cappella Academy 2020!
Teens worldwide can audition Via video submission. There are around 600-700 video submissions annually, while only around 75-85 campers accepted (around 13%) each summer.
A Cappella Academy is an immersive 10-day vocal, and musicianship intensive held at Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles, California, from July 2-12. You can learn more here: http://acappellacademy.org
Wren: I had the privilege to attend this camp for the first time last summer. Being immersed in the community, creativity and artistry showcased at ACA helped me to better understand my own personal relationship to music. I became aware of the possibilities of what it means to be a vocalist involved in a tight-knit group of individuals with the same underlying passion. It was truly a dream come true.
Juniper: I've known about A Cappella Academy for a few years now, but up until last year when my sister got in I had no idea how amazing of a community it was. I tried out this year not expecting to get in on my first try......AND I GOT IN! Im so incredibly grateful and excited for this opportunity.
The total cost of camp including food and lodging is $2,250 per camper. There are also expenses for flights and transportation. We are working babysitting jobs in order to save money and contribute, but the funds will likely not be enough. We are asking for your generosity in helping us achieve our dreams of traveling to LA and singing with vocalists from around the world.
