A Bruised Reid

Reid Satterfield:  Scholar, Teacher, Friend.......Broken
Reid Satterfield walks by faith, but he also walks in pain. Severe pain with every step.
He needs a new hip. 

We’re raising money to make life easier, for all the Satterfields. 

Our Goal: $10,000

To help Reid and April with their medical expenses: 
- Reid’s back surgery last year
- Emma Jane’s recent medical needs
- Reid’s hip replacement coming up in April

Uganda
Seventeen years ago, while serving on the mission field, Reid was shot and left for dead by rebel troops in Uganda.
 
 Gordon-Conwell  
After multiple surgeries and a long recovery, Reid and his family came to Charlotte to be part of Gordon-Conwell Seminary and several local fellowships.
 
YMCA
 While swimming at the local Y, Reid injured his hip, began walking with a cane and now needs a replacement.

Employment
The pain increased to the point that it’s been two years since Reid has been able to work. 

The Need
Reid and April have finally realized that surgery is the only option; the hip has to been replaced.

As  bills have piled up and with only April's salary, the burden is heavy.

Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 for Reid and his family, to lighten the load on their already burdened shoulders.

Reid wouldn't ask you himself, but we will.

 The need is urgent. 
The pain is constant; every step excruciating; rest is rarely found.

Every Penny, all funds will go to meeting their medical and other bills. (Please don’t leave a tip; if you do, we’ll just add back into the total).
 
Any funds raised above the goal will also be given to Reid and April to offset the additional expenses that always arise.

The amount you give will NOT be displayed, but a running total of how much has been raised will be displayed on the website and updated regularly.

Donating from a Desktop or Laptop Computer:
1. Visit the campaign you’d like to support and click the ‘Donate Now’ button
2. Choose the ‘Hide name and comment from everyone but the organizer’ option underneath the donation amount and name fields
3. Verify your donation information to save your donation as anonymous

Donating from a Mobile Phone:
1. Visit the campaign you’d like to support and click the ‘Donate Now’ button
2. Once you’ve confirmed your donation, you’ll have the option to share the campaign on Facebook
3. On the next page, choose the ‘Private: Hide my name and comment from the public’ option listed below the Comment box
4. Choose ‘Continue’ to save your donation as anonymous

Already Donated: Follow these directions from your donation confirmation receipt:
1. Scroll down to the bottom of the receipt
2. Click on 'Manage in My Donations'
3. Select Make donations & comments private by toggling the switch to the right.
