The Green Weald Alliance is a Community Interest Company (CIC) formed by local residents from Tunbridge Wells, Frant, Eridge, Bells Yew Green, Wadhurst, and surrounding villages. We are united by a shared commitment to protect the unique character, heritage, and natural beauty of the High Weald National Landscape (formerly AONB).

We advocate for responsible, sustainable development — development that meets real local needs while safeguarding the countryside, supporting biodiversity, and ensuring our roads, schools, and public services aren't pushed beyond capacity. We welcome thoughtful, well-designed growth. What we oppose is speculative, unsustainable expansion that risks irreparable harm to our environment and communities.

At the heart of our mission is the protection of the High Weald’s ecological balance, rural identity, and long-standing landscape features.

The Green Weald Alliance is governed by a volunteer-led board with clear accountability, and operates on a not-for-profit basis. Every donation goes directly to campaign activities — none is used for salaries, fees, or personal benefit.
