A Better Life for Jess

Adrenoleukodystrophy, or ALD, is a deadly genetic disease. Better known as Schilder disease, 1 out of 18,000 people suffer from this. This rare genetic disease destroys the protective sheath that surrounds the brain's neurons and nerve cells that allow us to think and to control our muscles. Primarily attacking the male population, not much is know about how this disease affects women.  After months of misdiagnosis and constant doctors visits, at age 25 Jessica received a deadly diagnoses.

Our sweet loving blue eyed girls world was about to drastically change. Affecting the adrenal glands and the nervous system Jessica would soon loose her ability to walk and preform basic daily tasks. Issues we find natural and inconsequential are now extremely difficult for her to accomplish. Despite the constant support from her husband Adam, Jessica has had a drastic decline in health. 

With medical bills piling up any and all contributions are greatly appreciated! Jessica will be undergoing lots of progressive life changes such as daily physical therapy round the clock watch for seizures.  Wheelchair accessible ramps, kitchen and bathroom remodels will be in the works to keep Jessica's life as close to normal as possible.
