My Father and Mother, Tom and Debra DeVaux, are wonderful people that have a hard time asking for help. My brother and I will be the ones to do it.
My Father is a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is a former Marine, a Knight of Columbus, a diabetic, and a kidney patient who is going through a very rough time. He was working up until he was forced to stop since he is in need of a kidney. Now he just found out that he will need to have his right leg amputated below the knee.
He was admitted into the hospital on March 26th, and has had a heart attack in the hospital. They had to fix his heart before today, 4/13, which is the day he will be loosing his right leg.
Since we have been given the news of my father losing his leg, my mother and father have come to finally realize that the house they live in now is not going to accommodate them anymore. My father will not be able to maneuver the stairs to get to his room to be able to sleep next to his wife at night.
We need to raise $60,000 to help my Father and Mother get into a one story house instead of the 2 stories that they live in now. This one story house will help my father be able to have a normal life as an amputee.
