HELP A TEACHER/COACH SIDELINED BY MASSIVE LIFE THREATENING (HOT DOG SIZE) BRAIN TUMOR
Philip Masterson is a beloved, hardworking, and dedicated teacher/coach in the Houston area schools. Philip, a single patient, is a loving and caring father to his son Nathan. We are praying and hoping by the grace of God, family members, our community, and by the help of many caring people who read and connect with Philip’s story that we can raise the funds desperately needed.
Philip’s teaching/coaching career was interrupted when he began having unexplained symptoms, symptoms similar of a stroke; gradual lose of sensation or movement in arm or leg, difficulty with balance, speech difficulty, confusion in everyday matters, headaches that gradually became more frequent and more severe and severe psychological episodes. He was misdiagnosed and his condition had become worse over time. Due to his declining health, his retirement and savings were quickly wiped out.
An accidental fall sending him to the E.R. revealed the true source of his symptoms. Following an MRI, it was discovered that Philip had been harboring a massive (Hot Dog Size) Meningioma brain tumor putting enormous pressure on his brain. If the tumor had not been found and removed it would have proven fatal. He remained in ICU for three and a half weeks then he began his long journey to recovery. Philip had to learn how to walk, talk, and eat all over again. Philip is disabled and unable to return to work and continue to do what he loves mentoring and inspiring young children to bring glory to God.
With your help, we can help Philip regain full recovery and live a wonderful long life. Philip has thus far survived Hurricane Harvey, unemployment, not being able to cover over $336,802.00 in medical bills, and a massive brain tumor.
