Yllza's fight against AML

Donation protected
My name is Blerina Nikqi, I am from NY. I turn to you for help in giving my dear baby cousin a chance at survival. All of your donation and funds raised will be used to pay for her treatments, transplants, hospital stays and other medical expenses. All funds will be personally sent to Yllz's parents & Univerzitetska Decja where she is receiving treatment. Please read Yllza's story below.

Yllza is a loving, smart, and happy one and a half year old. She is full of life and will put a smile on anyone's face that she meets. Around October of 2017 we noticed her energetic personality began to change and she was always very tired. Yllza's parents began to visit doctors to figure out what is going on. Living in Kosovo and not having access to advance technology, many doctors did not run the proper tests because they did not think much of her symptoms. Yllza's fevers would spike and her parents would run to the ER and would come back home with unanswered questions. These doctors visits were becoming much more frequent and becoming a financial burden to the already impoverished family. Having to care for 2 other children, the parents were in a financial predicament. Yllza's symptoms continued to worsen and her parents demanded for their questions to be answered on what is going on to their sweet baby girl.

Finally, on Sunday March 4th, Yllza was diagnosed with Acute Myloblastic Leukemia. Many emotions running through the families, but the big question Yllza's family had was "What can we do next?" Unfortunately, due to the lack of resources in Kosovo, doctors discovered her cancer in its final stages and predicted no chance of survival. Desperate and in need of other opinions, Yllza's parents decided to seek other opinions outside of the country where they had access to advanced technology that save lives.

Ever since her diagnosis, Yllza has undergone 2 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy but is in dire need of a stem cell transplant and months of treatment. Yllza's parents are dejected by this because of their financial situation and not being able to afford the treatment that could possibly save their daughter's life. It is hard to ask for help but in this situation it is necessary. To decline a child this treatment because of finances is hard to digest and that is why I am reaching out to family and friends for any help that you can provide. All contributions are greatly appreciated. We ask you keep Yllza in your prayers and share this via Facebook.
