Chinese Unicorn Qilin Animated Film

Qilin and many kinds of Chinse Unicorns symbolize GOOD FORTUNE, GOOD LUCK, ABUNDANCE, and they foretell of great minds and higher thinking, or fairness & justice.
I want to create an animated short film about Chinese Unicorns and/or Qilin (AKA Kirin) with music. Mainstream media stifles genuine creativity, does things obsessively for profit, is often out of touch with their audiences, and pushes people out. Mainstream academia shuns traditional artists that draw and sketch, and have disdain for beautiful art and prefer to display the deliberately ugly, and call what I do "not art" because I do not have a high priced MFA and am not a part of that clique.
I have been publishing my artwork online since the early mid-1990s, and whole generations of young people grew up whom knew me, my artwork, my style, and those have become part of the world online art culture. I did that FOR FREE. I taught people, mentored people, and many are self-sufficient now. I have also run my own businesses, worked on projects for HBO Family, Nick Jr., Nogin, PBS Kids, Top Cow Inc. /Image Comics, countless fandom conventions, and also lived in China a lot in the GW Bush era.
I am a fusion artist, and a philosopher. I mix and blend a lot of things, and create my own new things. I am a traditional animator/artist, but also a digital artist. I believe in producing QUALITY work, instead of QUANTITY. I believe in ART FUNDAMENTALS like PRACTICING, LIFE DRAWING, DEVELOPING SKILLS and HONING THEM. This is commonly mocked in current academia, and if you want to learn to draw as the great masters did, you will get the full brunt of this, let alone if you have the audacity to draw manga or anime styles. Heaven forefend if you should do something BEAUTIFUL or WHIMSICAL that most people enjoy! It is bad enough to get bullied from non-artists, whom often think you are crazy.
But, from others whom call themselves artists whom seek to remove your SPIRIT & CREATIVE SPARK and force you to create anti-art is harsh and cruel. Especially when it’s someone whom you are PAYING to TEACH you, whom hates your inner core as an artist, and wants you to be the rigid establishment of modern arts, when all you want to do is draw, progress, and make beautiful things to share. I have heard it all. I have seen it all. It is cruel and unjust. Or, they wish you to only be an artist for profit, and not for the LOVE of it.
I KNOW that many generations of people like my work because it's OFTEN STOLEN, but also I still get many letters from people whom I have mentored and taught thanking me. We only have this 1 life to live, and much of mine and my opportunities were destroyed by the Financial Meltdown, corporatism, globalism, outsourcing, or even petty things like jealousy of those hiring whom feared I would take their jobs and would hire people of lesser skills, sexism, or nepotism.
The things I need to produce this work are expensive, and they add up. Much of the items I need include equipment, and software, which are not cheap at all. I will share ALL OF MY PROCESS as OPEN SOURCE, or PAY IF YOU WANT, because I do NOT believe that art should be for ONLY those whom can afford it. The original drawings and final work will be copy write materials to protect my work, and my rights, but it will be available FOR FREE to access.
The final Film will be 100% COMPLETELY FREE for the ENTIRE WORLD to view. I will make it as my gift to the WORLD from my heart.
It is my hope that by my openly creating this, the process will help other artists, whom want to learn it, also will learn by observing my process, and can ask me any questions, give feedback, or suggestions. I would also encourage people to tell me what they like, what they want to see, and are welcome to join me on my Facebook page, Tumblr, and Twitter.
I invite the World to become a part of my process and project. (Also, my teenaged daughter might be working on it as well, anonymously.)
I have already produced some animation work this year (among a number of other film/video projects), but it was not entirely for myself, nor on the timeframe I wanted, and many things were compromised. This time, I would like it to be on my terms, my timeframe, no rushing, no lost time, and with my own equipment and materials with no wasted time commuting, or time management conflicts. I want it to be stress free, supportive, positive, healthy, loving, and with the full amount of freedom and liberty I truly deserve.
Everyone has dreams, and I would like you to become a part of mine, because that dream is fulfilled when the final film is viewed by your eyes, and felt inside of your hearts.
