Yancy's Alternative Treatment

Donation protected
Let me begin with a short disclaimer. There is no way I can tell this ON-GOING story and do it justice. Cancer is a complicated subject and I don't have the knowledge to be detailed about the condition; Odds are you'll all have tons of questions that I won't be able to answer and I apologize for that.

 Late 2015

Yancy was diagnosed with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumors. In November 2015 she underwent surgery and had the tumors successfully removed. Cancer came with a spectrum of emotions for her friends, family and most importantly herself.  She was left with a huge scar, medical bills, super human faith and a new lease on life… did I mention super human faith?

I've never seen anyone deliver terrible news about herself while making others feel peace, faith and strength radiating from her at the same time.

 On February 6th 2017,

Yancy and her husband came home to nervous family and friends. This time their faces reflected sorrow. There was little physical strength. They both seemed absent minded and sad, but they found the strength to speak. The cancer is back in a big way,  tumors have now spread to several organs and parts of her body. Due to the rarity of the cancer, there are limited treatment options. This time, surgery is not one of them. Her oncologist believes the only route to take is chemotherapy.

As the devout Christian she is, she knows in her heart that God always has the last word; and as we all pray for a miraculous recovery, Gods will prevails.

These days, pain and fatigue hold her back from going out and being active. Nausea and vomit make her weak and disoriented. Although some days seem worst than others, she finds the strength and peace she needs in prayer. Weeks ago, after a few increasingly bad days and much prayer, Yancy and her husband decided to strengthen her immune system, by undergoing an OUT OF POCKET alternative treatment while also praying for a miracle. The treatment consists of some dietary supplements, a very restrictive all organic diet and necessary vitamins and minerals being administered thru IV a couple of times a week. Unfortunately this costly treatment is not covered by her insurance and works on a "pay as you go" basis.

 Which brings us to today.
Although her husband and family will support and care for her as much as possible; we need help. This treatment doesn't come cheap, and the list of expenses grows by the day.

At this time we all have the opportunity to do something for her. Whether it is helping with a few dollars or a daily prayer. TODAY we have the chance to have her see and feel that we love and care for her. Only God knows what will happen next, but we will continue to pray for a miracle.

These past few months have been tough, to say the least; But we're grateful for every day we have with Yancy Diaz. The Friends loving, day dreaming, tomato hating, God fearing girl we know and love.
