World Junior Squash Championships

My name is Michael Mehl, I am 15 years old and am from Calgary, Alberta.  I have been given an opportunity to represent Canada as the alternate in the 2014 Junior World Squash Championships.  This year it takes place in Windhoek, Namibia, North of South Africa.  

I am 15 years old and am still eligible for a second world team event, this opportuntity will help me gain valuble experience for the next worlds.  I am very excited to have been given this opportunity as I will not have many other chances to travel to this part of the world.

As this tournament is self funded the final amount exceeds $6000.  This summer I have been coaching the junior programs as well as the adult summer training so I can send myself to this tournament.  With work mixed in with 2 on court sessions and 1 off court session everyday it is very hard to find time to fit more work into my schedule, let alone find the energy.  I am asking for your help to support my expenses.  This will help me focus more on my squash and hopefully will result in a better overall performance at the individual world event.  My goal is not only on court result but also off court results - I am currently working with a high performance trainer as well as a high performance nutrionist to help my overall health and fitness.
