Woodcrest Family Devastated After Brushfire

Hello Friends,
On Saturday, August 6, 2022 we experienced a fierce and devastating brushfire that destroyed our family farm home and everything in it in Woodcrest, California. The loss is incomprehensible.
Those inside made it out safely thanks to the brave and excellent work of Cal Fire Riverside, Perris, Corona and other Cal Fire responding agencies. If it was not for their bravery and diligence to preserve life, we would have experienced an even greater loss than just our family home. My sister Katy and Mom Jana escaped with only the clothes on their backs and shoes on their feet. Everything else was hailed to the fire.
In the midst of this quick-moving fire, some of our pets were severely injured. We are overwhelmed with loss and grief.
On Tuesday, while my mom and little sister were walking through what remains of their home (unfortunately not much), they were surprised to find one of their cats. He was lying lifeless on a soot-covered bed. They immediately recognized that he had suffered trauma from the fire. His paws were severely burned and infected. He is currently in the pet hospital being treated by veterinarians.
We are looking to our surrounding community for support and donations. Our pets need medical attention and supplies, it's all very expensive and The Red Cross and Insurance does not help cover these needs. And Katy and Jana are now on a long road to recovering everything that was lost. Anything helps right now.
Currently, we are still missing 2 cats. We hope they return home soon and unharmed.
